How to cure a wasp sting in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Your beautiful island getaway at Animal crossing: new horizons on Switch will be a charming and fun adventure for the months to come. However, your stay in paradise will not be without danger.

While shaking the trees to find more branches or to look for other treats, you might come across one of the only dangerous inhabitants of the island: wasps.

Every now and then when you shake a tree in Animal Crossing, it may drop a wasp nest right in front of your villager. If you don’t act quickly, the wasps will attack, leaving a nasty sting on your face.

Fortunately, the damage is not permanent and there are several ways to cure a wasp sting in Animal crossing: New Horizons. In this guide, we’ll walk you through all the different ways to regain a normal face, and we’ll show you how to defend yourself against wasps (which also look like bees, if you ask us).

How to treat a wasp sting

If you talk to Tommy Nook as he walks around the island, he can randomly tell you one of the many ways to cure a wasp sting.

If you get stung you can head to Resident Services and ask the Nooks to sell you the drugs you need.

If you don’t feel like wasting your hard-earned bells or if you’re not near resident services, you can also talk to your fellow villagers. One of them could offer you the DIY recipe so you can craft as many as you want as a backup, in case you get stung again.

Fortunately, there aren’t any major downsides to getting stung by a wasp (unless you count your appearance). However, if you get stung again when already stung and showing it, you may pass out. So be careful.

How to avoid getting stung by wasps

Wasp nests are an integral part of life in New Horizons, but there is a way to go shake the trees without fear.

When you’re sure you’re going to shake trees, whether it’s to get more branches or to search for elusive bagworms, always have your report team.

If you’re quick enough, you can catch the wasps that are falling from their nests before they have a chance to sting you. With your net equipped, shake a tree and if a nest falls, just as the wasps come out, throw your net towards them and you will pick them up before they attack.

Catching wasps will be an essential skill to master, especially if you want to complete the bugs section of your museum.
