FFXIV: Endwalker guide – Chi and Daivadipa boss FATEs

0

FFXIV: Endwalker adds two more FATE bosses, special overworld fights that you can complete to earn special rewards. Most people will want to stalk Chi and Daivadipa so they can get Chi Bolts and Daivadipa Beadswhich allow you to get Level checker support and Mechanical Minion Daivadiparespectively.

Our FF14 guide explains how often Chi and Daivadipa spawn, how to track schedules, and what rewards you get.

Note that before you even start entering FATE bosses, you should have level 90 combat work and the ability to fly in Ultima Thule and Thavnair unlocked. You can’t reach the boss FATEs if you can’t fly there (although a nice player can accompany you there with a multi-person mount).

How Boss FATEs Work

FATE Bosses are the final parts of the FATE Chains. You will usually have to do two FATEs that appear one after the other, ending with the FATE boss. However, completing the previous two FATEs will not spawn the guaranteed boss. This means you may need to mine the FATE Channel a bit before the boss spawns. Players are normally hard at work creating new FATE bosses, but older ones will not be spawned as people no longer need the rewards.

After being killed, there is a cooldown window where the boss cannot be respawned.

For participating in FATE, you will get a contribution based on the damage and healing your party has inflicted. That being said, you must use party search or shout chat to join a party before FATE starts. For a maximum contribution, you will get six Chi Bolts (of Chi) or six Daivadipa Beads (from Daivadipa).

Follow FATE bosses with Faloop!

Faloop! is a community-created toolkit that follows the big bosses of FATE and hunts brands in all expansions. Just select your server, click “FATEs” at the top, and you’ll see a list.

If the FATE is marked as open, it means it can potentially be generated by meeting the requirements. If the FATE is marked as closed, it means it was killed recently and cannot respawn yet.

However, since Faloop! relies on user reports, there can sometimes be errors, so you’ll want to keep an eye on the scream chat for areas where bosses spawn.
